Gaynor and Janet, having children of their own, became very concerned about the food that both they and their children were consuming. Specifically all the additives, colourants and preservatives incorporated into convenience and mass manufactured food. 

Their children's most favoured food being sausages, inspired Janet and Gaynor to use sausages as their means to improving the quality of food they all ate.
